SOVELI

Private beta

Putting Soveli on your glasses

Soveli runs on the Even Realities G2 as an app inside the Even companion app on your phone. It is not in the Even Hub yet, so for now we hand it to you directly. This takes about five minutes, once.

What you need first

If any of these is missing, stop here and tell us. None of it is worth guessing at.

The glasses
A pair of Even Realities G2, charged, and already paired with your phone.
The Even app
Even Realities' own companion app, on the phone the glasses are paired to, updated to the current version. Soveli is installed through that app, never onto the glasses directly.
An invitation from us
A link or QR code we send you personally. The beta is not public and there is nothing to download from this page.
Ten quiet minutes
The install itself is quick. Seeing whether it works properly means wearing the glasses with someone else in the room.

Installing the beta

A beta build is loaded by hand rather than from a store. Even Realities calls this Developer Mode. It is a normal, supported part of their app; it just is not the path most people ever use.

The exact wording may differ. Even updates their app often. If a menu is not where we say it is, look for anything called Developer, Debug or Scan, and tell us what you found so we can fix this page.
  1. Open the Even app and confirm your glasses are connected

The app should show your G2 as connected before you start. If it does not, put the glasses in the case, take them out again, and wait for the app to find them.

  2. Turn on Developer Mode

In the Even app's settings, switch on Developer Mode. This is what allows an app that is not yet in the Even Hub to be added.

You only do this once. You can turn it off again afterwards and Soveli will keep working.

  3. Scan the code we sent you

Choose Scan QR in Developer Mode and point it at the code in our invitation. The app fetches the build and adds Soveli to your list.

  4. Check it is there

Soveli should now appear alongside your other Even apps. Open it once while wearing the glasses. You should see the Soveli mark appear briefly and then nothing, which is correct: it shows you a card only when there is a face to put a name to.

  5. Let us finish the setup

Connecting Soveli to your own records is a step we do with you, not something you configure. Once the app is on your glasses, tell us and we will complete it.

What to expect from a beta

Three things worth knowing before you form an opinion of it.

The pin is not here yet

The Soveli Pin, the part that actually sees a face, does not exist in hardware yet. In this build the recognition is simulated so you can judge what appears on the glass and how it feels, not whether it recognises people.

Silence is a feature

Below a high confidence threshold Soveli shows nothing at all rather than risk a wrong name. If you expect a card and get none, that is usually the product working.

Nothing is being measured

There is no analytics and no telemetry in the app on your glasses. If something is wrong we will not know unless you tell us, which is the trade we chose.

When Soveli reaches the Even Hub

Once the app is published, none of the above applies and it becomes three steps. We will replace this page when that happens.

1. Find it in the Even Hub

Open the Even app on your phone, find Soveli in the Even Hub, and add it to your G2. No Developer Mode, no codes to scan.

2. Sign in to your workspace

Connect the app to your winery's own Soveli records so the right names reach the right glasses.

3. Wear them

Nothing else to configure. A card appears when there is a name worth having, and one press clears it.

If something goes wrong

Tell us rather than working around it. In a beta, the thing that annoyed you is the most useful thing you can send us.

Write to [email protected]

Say which step you were on, what you expected, and what happened instead. A photo of the phone screen is worth a paragraph. If the glasses did something odd, note roughly what time, because it helps us line it up with what we can see on our side.
